Dennis Ray Armstead was born April 12, 1957 to Mary Ruth Armstead Dennis Ray Armstead was born April 12, 1957 to Mary Ruth Armstead Baugh and the late Arner Verner (Spooky) Ragland. On Sunday, October 11, 2020, he was called from labor to reward, after a brief illness at North Alabama Medical Center. Dennis was preceded in death by his maternal grandparent, Artilla Parker and Arthur Armstead; paternal grandparents, J.T. and Ruth Ingram Ragland; stepfather, Isaac (Mutt) Baugh and his devoted sister, Wanda Faye (Tina) Baugh. Dennis confessed Christ at an early age and joined Rock Primitive Baptist Church. Dennis graduated from Central High School in 1975. He worked at Mitchell Hollingsworth and Shoals Hospital from 1974, which was 46 years. He loved working out, football and basketball. Also, he loved his family and cooking. Dennis Ray leaves to cherish his memories: son, Dennis Ray Fuqua; a devoted mother, Mary Ruth Armstead Baugh; granddaughter, Ama’rie Fuqua; devoted sisters, Karen (Willie Fred) Brown and Bridgett Sims of Florence, AL and Stephanie (Paul) Cook of Tupelo, MS; devoted nieces, DeAndria (Nikki) Walton and Auri Brown; devoted nephews, Cameron Brown and Trey Neal Sims; devoted aunts, Eddie Mae (the late Charles) Banks, Edna Ruth (the late Wilbert) Parker, Ellaphine Ragland, Patricia (the late Jimmey) Parker, Violet (Tommy) Grant and Wilda Sue (Lee) Thompson; deceased uncles, Charles (Julie) Butler, Johnny Joe (the late Janice) Butler, Ben (Estelle) Armstead and Ricky (Joyce) Ragland; devoted cousins, Tracey Ragland and Larry Barnett; devoted friends, Janice Doxie, Elliott Alexander and Curtis Davis and a host of other relatives and friends.
