Emma Jean Vinson was born July 6, 1925 in Alcoa, Tennessee to the late Rev. Frank and Arilla Kindle. The Lord called her home on Sunday, December 15, 2019. She confessed in Christ at an early age, she then joined Calvary Baptist Church in 1941, later after joined Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in 1958 where she served as President of the Mother’s Board, a member of the Missionary Society, Friendly Christian Club and the Senior Choir and remained a faithful member until her health failed.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother to her family and very respected by her family, friends and community.
Emma was proceeded in death by her husband, Richard S. Vinson of 51 years, son, Julian R. Vinson, son, Louis F. Owens, stepson, Arthur S. Vinson.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters: Katie M. Felton, Muscle Shoals, Alabama; Janice P. Vinson, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Bobbie J. Vinson-Nix, Leighton, Alabama; two sons: David E. Vinson, Leighton, Alabama; Clarence E. Vinson, Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren: Tonya, Rasha, Selton, Stefanie, James, Christopher, Barry, Nehemiah, Jeremiah, Megan, Damon, Dallas; step-grandchildren: Ariea, and Arquetta; great-grandchildren: Felicia; step-great-grandchildren: Eddie Jr, Neal, Charsade and Charlea ; great-great grandchildren; Eliamuri and Amia; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was the last of her decedents until her death
